Are you ready for the 2024 dragon boat racing season? It looks to be an exciting year ahead!
But first, we need to take care of some business. It’s time to get the Houston Heat dragon boats and paddling equipment ready for the season. On Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, Sunday, February 4, 2024. We’ll need all hands on deck to clean the boats, paddles, and PFDs on our yearly maintenance day. The more hands we have the quicker we can get this done. As you know, Houston Heat has some of the finest equipment in the Gulf Coast. That is all in thanks to you and your team for helping out! Be proud!
Items to be done:
– Wash and wax all four dragon boats
– Repair any scratches and scrapes on the hulls
– Refinish the wood trim
– Wash all PFDs and paddles
– Count inventory (number of PFDs and paddles)
– Repair bunks on the trailer
– Look over both trailers to assess any other necessary repairs
Cleaning materials and equipment will be supplied. Once again, the location of the event is generously donated by the Yee family at the Yee Ranch. Please respect their private property and make sure to dispose of all trash properly. Address and directions will be provided on Thursday, February 2nd to your email, so please sign up.
