As the defending champs from the last time that Houston Heat competed in this event several years ago, the Irving, TX event is a lot of fun and competition for being a Sunday Dragon Boat Festival event in this north Dallas suburb.
In the past, it’s also been promoted as a kite flying/Asian Festival event, so there are plenty of things happening during the day of the event. Please consider this dragon boat festival as one of your out of town dragon boat racing events.
Sign up for the DFW Dragon Boat, Kite, and Lantern Festival. If you are interested in paddling with Houston Heat for this event, add your name to the signup list below. Additional details regarding assessments, criteria, and training will be emailed. Houston Heat is required to have a maximum of 25 paddlers who will commit to registering and training for this event. If we do not get enough paddlers, there’s potential of teaming up with Austin Coolers.
