Coach Jeff has been in contact with Riversport Adventures in Oklahoma City for the past couple of weeks to make this event worth going again. This is a 10-men boat event and Houston Heat is hoping to enter one to two teams. This is one of the best venues to race during the summer. We will be racing at an Olympic training facility from 5pm to 10pm, followed by fireworks to end the evening. The coaches have been talking to other competitive teams in the Gulf Coast area and most have shown interest in this event. Let’s train hard and win this one!
Houston Heat raced in this event twice before and came home with medals each time. Best of all, we had a lot of fun racing at the venue. If you are interested in paddling with Houston Heat for this event, add your name to the sign-up list below. Additional details regarding assessments, criteria, and training will be emailed. Houston Heat is required to have a minimum of 12 paddlers (1 boat) and maximum of 24 paddlers (2 boats) who will commit to registering and training for this event.
